“And we all, with unveiled face, beholding the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from one degree of glory to another. For this comes from the Lord who is the Spirit.” – 2 Cor. 3:18
As Christians, when we continue to behold Christ, learning from Him, knowing Him, reflecting on who He is and what He is calling us to be (all through the word of God), we are being transformed into His likeness.
In the same way we are sometimes unaware of our physical growth, the same thing applies to our spiritual growth.
This is not something that we can do by our self, it’s something that the spirit of God does in us.
But as we continue to grow in fellowship with Him, there’s a work of sanctification going on.
Even if we fail to notice it and we feel like nothing is happening. Even if we see ourselves going through the same process of confessing and repenting of sin over and over again. The work of sanctification is going on.
And as we continue to grow in our relationship with Christ, by God’s grace we’ll get to the point in our walk where some things will no longer be a struggle. A point where we’ll no longer have to repent of certain sins.
For we are being transformed from one degree of glory to another. From one degree to another. It goes on and on, till we come to behold His full glory. Then we shall be like Him.
“Dear friends, now we are children of God, and what we will be has not yet been made known. But we know that when Christ appears, we shall be like him, for we shall see him as he is” (1 John 3:2)
